SPEECH SOUNDS
We work with children who have difficulty with speech sound production due to articulation and phonological disorders.
SOCIAL COMMUNICATION
We teach social communication skills needed for making and maintaining relationships with. We can help improve a child's social skills by targeting turn taking, joint attention, appropriate play, and perspective taking.
PHONOLOGICAL/PHONEMIC AWARENESS
Phonological awareness is the ability to recognize and manipulate the spoken parts of words, including syllables, onset-rime, and phonemes. Phonemic awareness is the ability to identify and manipulate individual sounds (phonemes) in spoken words. Both are key skills in getting kids ready to read.
STUTTERING
We teach fluency shaping and stuttering modifications to help children manage their stuttering in order to be successful communicators in social and educational settings.
LANGUAGE
We help children improve their expressive (the ability to express themselves) and receptive language skills (the ability to understand spoken language and directions). These are necessary skills for oral and written communication.
